Role Purpose
Overall medical leadership and accountability for Specialty Care in Germany, including full portfolio and pipeline. Responsible for defining and executing the local medical strategy aligned with global priorities and local patient needs, while driving measurable impact for patients.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Strategy & Leadership:
* Define and lead the local medical strategy across the Specialty Care portfolio
* Align global strategy with German healthcare system and patient needs
* Contribute to cross-functional brand and account strategies
Scientific Engagement & External Leadership:
* Lead scientific engagement with KOLs, HCPs, and scientific societies
* Ensure high-quality, compliant scientific exchange
* Position GSK as a scientific leader in Specialty Care
Evidence Generation & Medical Impact:
* Translate local insights into evidence generation priorities
* Drive local evidence generation aligned with global strategy
* Ensure deep understanding of clinical practice, guidelines, and patient pathways
Medical Excellence & Communication:
* Develop and implement effective medical communication strategies
* Ensure scientific integrity, compliance, and quality
* Drive innovative engagement models with measurable impact
Team Leadership & People Development:
* Lead and develop a high-performing organization of approximately 70 FTEs
* Directly manage ~10 senior leaders (direct reports)
* Drive performance management, capability building, and talent development
Cross-functional Leadership:
* Member of Medical Leadership Team Germany
* Partner with Commercial, Market Access, Evidence Generation, and Global teams
Key Accountabilities
* Delivery of medical strategy and measurable patient impact
* Scientific credibility and compliance oversight
* Organizational performance and talent development
* Quality of external stakeholder engagement

Qualifications & Experience
* Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD)
* Significant Medical Affairs experience (typically 10+ years)
* Proven leadership of large, complex organizations
* Strong knowledge of German healthcare system
