SCADA Engineer - CSS Technical Delivery Team
Location: Glasgow HQ / Hybrid Working
Salary: From £45,400 + Excellent Benefits

What you'll be doing
Working as part of the Technical Delivery team, you'll play a key role in the implementation and support of SCADA and control system solutions, contributing to the successful delivery of real-time systems across the network.
You'll work under the guidance of Technical Leads and senior Engineers, supporting the design, configuration, integration, and testing of systems, ensuring solutions are delivered to a high standard and are operationally ready.
This role is hands-on and delivery-focused, providing an opportunity to develop your technical expertise while contributing to complex, safety-critical systems.
Key responsibilities include:
* Support the configuration, integration, and enhancement of SCADA and control systems
* Assist in translating business and operational requirements into technical solutions
* Contribute to system design, implementation, and testing activities across the delivery lifecycle
* Support the development of system displays, network models, and operational interfaces
* Work closely with Technical Leads and stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical outputs
* Assist in troubleshooting technical issues, supporting root cause analysis and resolution
* Ensure solutions meet quality, security, and governance standards
* Participate in testing, commissioning, and transition into operational service
* Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to support delivery activities
* Maintain clear documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and standards
What you'll bring
* Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
* Experience working with SCADA, ADMS, or similar control systems environments
* Understanding of system integration, interfaces, and real-time data environments
* Experience supporting technical delivery across design, configuration, or testing phases
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
* Good communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Awareness of cyber security, testing, and change control practices
Minimum requirements
* Technical qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline
* Hands-on experience with SCADA or similar operational technology systems
* Experience supporting delivery of control system or integration projects
* Ability to work within structured technical and governance frameworks
