Hello there. We're Zopa.
We started our journey back in 2005, building the first ever peer-to-peer lending company. Fast forward to 2020 and we launched Zopa Bank. A bank that listens to what our customers don't like about finance and does the opposite. We're redefining what it feels like to work in finance. The Team:
The Developer Experience team sits at the heart of engineering at Zopa, focused on making life easier, faster and more effective for every engineer across the business. We build and scale the internal platforms that power how teams develop, deploy and monitor software.
You'll be joining at a pivotal moment. Zopa is investing heavily in modernising its engineering ecosystem as part of a wider transformation, with strong backing from senior leadership. The team works closely with experienced engineers across the company, giving you exposure to high-quality thinking, strong mentorship and meaningful technical challenges.
This is a collaborative, people-focused environment where success comes from working with others, not just building in isolation.
A Day in the Life:
* Partner with engineering teams to help them adopt new platforms and ways of working
* Support the rollout of tools like CI/CD pipelines and observability platforms
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and shape adoption plans
* Contribute to building internal tools that improve developer workflows
* Help document and communicate best practices across engineering
* Work closely with senior engineers to learn, grow and deliver impact
* Play an active role in improving how engineering works across the organisation
About You?
* You communicate clearly and bring energy to every conversation
* Building strong relationships across teams comes naturally to you
* At least one programming language is already in your toolkit
* Understanding the "why" behind software matters to you, not just the "how"
* Taking initiative, asking questions, and owning your growth is part of your approach
* Learning new tools and technologies is something you actively embrace
* A genuine interest in software engineering and developer tooling drives you
Added Bonus:
* Hands-on experience working with Golang
* Some familiarity with observability tools like Honeycomb, Splunk, Prometheus, or Grafana
* Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab
* Practical exposure to Kubernetes environments
* An understanding of developer productivity or platform tooling

We value face-to-face collaboration and a good work-life balance. This hybrid role requires you to come to our London office 2-3 days a week.
You'll also have the option of working from abroad for up to 120 days a year!* But no matter where you are, we'll make sure you've got everything you need to thrive, both in your work and home life, from day one.
