Job Summary: Create supply plan for a site to meet the demand plan while keeping in mind plant/operations rough cut capacity and raw material availability. Disaggregating the demand plan into more discreet buckets (months, week or product). Hand off supply plan to Materials team and suggest purchases to ensure operational and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities: Create and maintain planning bills of material, product hierarchy and associated category values for the site. Synchronize production across the network considering inventory needs; Reflect constraint management in the network supply plan for the site. Support finished goods and materials allocation for the site. Proactive deployment management for the site. Manage Master Production Schedule, aligned to network plans; Execute supply plan scenarios. Manage and resolve twice daily, the misalignment between firm demand and current site supply plan; including realignment of dependent site plans when the change is material. Interact with regional Material Planners, and articulate incoming material supply issues on the build plans, including development of options to resolve the issue and subsequent sharing of this with the Customer Support teams. Validate alignment to allocation logic and subsequent feedback to Commercial teams. Interpret, analyze and improve necessary Key Performance Indicators.

Detailed Capacity Planning - Converts and translates the Master Production Schedule into detailed resource requirements resulting in optimized internal capacity utilization and identified constraints; negotiates changes to the schedule or available resources when demand exceeds demonstrated or installed capacity with a focus on meeting Available-to-Promise (ATP) dates; considers different options such as overtime, adding a shift or headcount, etc. to increase capacity during periods of constraint.
Master Supply Scheduling - Establishes and maintains a valid Master Production Schedule for a family of products, which meets customer's expectations and requirements while maximizing operational efficiency; validates procurement scheduling, production scheduling, and replenishment planning are aligned to manufacturing and assembly assets for conversion.
Materials KPI Management - Operates in relation to recent or historical outputs as compared to expectations of the organization to determine next steps to drive improvement; assesses gaps to the supply chain performance against the expectation of achieving target deliverables; interprets KPIs to understand end-customer impact; strategically balances trade-offs to influence one KPI while minimizing the impact to others.
Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) - Converts the Demand Plan and Master Supply Plan into critical resource (labor, machine, and materials) requirements resulting in negotiations and/or changes to the plan or available resources to balance supply and demand; focuses on longer term resource planning, not detailed.
Materials Planning System Utilization - Uses the materials planning system to manage supply and demand plans taking long-term corrective action on exception messages and other alerts based on root cause analysis; occasionally refers to adhoc tools such as Excel, Access, TOAD, OMS, etc. in performing problem solving, while leveraging the materials planning system as the primary tool in day-to-day operations.
Part Change Control Management - Evaluates and implements engineering change request (obsolescence, supersessions, new part release, etc.) to meet customer delivery requirements while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
