As part of Airbus's ambition to grow a proficient and competitive Engineering organisation, we are launching a Commercial Aircraft Engineering Center in Poland. This initiative aims at leveraging Poland's talent pool and technological ecosystem, specifically in the field of Propulsion systems, while supporting our broader Engineering workload and competitiveness requirements, and reinforcing Airbus' strategic engagement with Poland.
Role Overview
As the HR Business Partner for the new Airbus Commercial Engineering Center in Krakow, you will act as the strategic architect of the people's roadmap for this newly established unit. You will be a key player in launching Airbus's engineering presence in Poland, serving as the primary interface between the Site Director, local partners, and the global Airbus Engineering community.
You will join a pioneering team where we connect performance and care, ensuring that this new center becomes a "Chamber of Reference" for aeronautical design and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Site Launch & Strategic Partnering
* Engineering Center Setup: Partner with the Site Director and Host company HR to establish HR operations, local policies, and organizational structures for the new Krakow unit.
* Strategic Sourcing: Act as a lead sourcing partner to develop next-generation recruitment practices for high-end engineering profiles; ensure headcount targets are met and talent is effectively onboarded and integrated.
* The Voice of HR: Advise leadership on the people-related impact of strategic decisions during the center's ramp-up phase.
Operational Excellence & People Tempo
* HR Drumbeat: Manage the "Hire-to-Retire" cycle, including performance reviews, salary rounds, and the coordination of specialized technical training.
* Governance & Payroll: Collaborate closely with host HR and finance functions to ensure smooth payroll processing and meticulous management of personal files in compliance with local standards.
* Process Improvement: Lead HR initiatives related to Engagement, Compensation & Benefits, and the implementation of Airbus Group HR tools and procedures.
Talent & Social Climate
* Retention & Career Planning: Create a talent management program focusing on employee retention and career pathing for highly specialized engineers.
* Support & Advocacy: Provide day-to-day support to employees on HR matters, fostering a constructive social climate and high levels of engagement.
* International Connectivity: Participate in transversal HR projects to align the Krakow center with global Airbus standards while respecting the local Polish context.
The Ideal Profile
Education & Experience
* Education: At least a BSc (Master's preferred) in Human Resources, Psychology, Labor Law, or Business Administration.
* Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a similar HRBP role, ideally within an industrial, aerospace, or high-tech engineering environment.
Technical Competencies
* Legal Expertise: Deep knowledge of Polish Labor Law and modern HR best practices.
* Matrix Environment: Ability to navigate a complex, international matrixed organization.
* Languages: Fluent in English and Polish.
* Tools: Proficient in MS Office, Google Suite, and ideally familiar with international HRIS.
Soft Skills
* Proactivity & Autonomy: An "anticipation mindset"-you are comfortable taking initiative in a "startup" environment within a large corporation.
* Influence & Communication: Ability to foster relationships at all levels, from junior engineers to the Site Director.
* Analytical Thinking: Strong organizational skills and the ability to interpret HR metrics to drive decision-making.
