Working for Sandvik means that every day, through your actions, you contribute to important shifts in the world. In a constantly evolving world, one of Sandvik's fundamental strengths has always been our passion for innovation, to take the lead and find new ways to solve challenges. Our innovations and continuous improvements have a great impact on people's daily lives, society, and the long-term sustainability of the world. We are doing this, combining the aspiration of making things better with a strong and open mindset to create value for all our stakeholders - customers, employees, and communities - which ultimately also leads to shareholder value. This is the foundation of our very existence, and we are immensely proud of being able to play this role.

At our business area segment Sandvik Machining, we hold an exciting multi-brand portfolio with some of the strongest brands of the metal cutting market. We employ about 18,000 brilliant minds worldwide, and in 2021, sales were approximately 37 billion SEK (including business area segment Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions).

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for finance controlling activities for a portfolio of Swiss entities, with a main focus on Santrade, part of Sandvik's Machining Logistics organisation, and additional finance support for the local Sales unit. You will ensure accurate and timely reporting under IFRS and local GAAP, maintain strong balance sheet quality, and support sound financial governance. Working closely with finance stakeholders, shared services, business partners, and auditors, you will contribute to smooth end-to-end processes, compliance, and continuous improvement across the finance organisation.

What you will do

* Ensure high-quality financial reporting by preparing and reviewing financial statements and delivering accurate, timely Group reporting under IFRS.
* Perform monthly and year-end closing activities under IFRS and local GAAP, coordinating with the Shared Service Center and relevant finance stakeholders, reviewing output quality, and resolving accounting topics.
* Perform balance sheet deep dives and coordinate follow-up on key reconciliations, intercompany matching, accruals, netting, and stock-related accounting topics, escalating risks where needed.
* Support inventory and fixed asset governance for a high-volume distribution center setup by assisting with physical inventory count coordination, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring alignment with applicable accounting standards.
* Support the Sales unit with selected local finance topics including forecast preparation and coordination with relevant stakeholders, as well as corporate income tax, VAT, and audit coordination.
* Manage specialist accounting and compliance reporting topics, including lease contract management and IFRS 16 lease accounting, IAS 19 accruals and postings, VAT declarations, and regulatory statistical reporting.
* Support governance, internal controls, and audit readiness by maintaining finance guidelines, documentation, and control discipline across key processes.
* Support selected local finance administration topics including car fleet-related finance processes and policy alignment.
* Manage vendor/customer master data in cooperation with the central master data team.
* Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimise, simplify, and automate end-to-end finance processes, including processes performed within the shared service scope.

What you bring

* Several years of experience in financial controlling, accounting, or reporting, with solid exposure to IFRS, local statutory requirements, tax-related topics, and compliance.
* Experience in an international finance environment, ideally with exposure to cross-border processes, shared service setups, and stakeholders across different countries and functions.
* A strong systems and data mindset, with proficiency in Excel, Microsoft 365, reporting tools, finance systems, and ideally SAP FI/CO.
* Strong expertise in complex accounting and controlling topics such as reconciliations, accruals, intercompany matters, closing governance, and audit readiness.
* The ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage priorities under pressure, and deliver high-quality output within agreed timelines.
* Strong communication skills in English and a collaborative approach to working across teams and functions.
* High integrity, accountability, and a clear commitment to quality, compliance, and doing things the right way.
* A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with curiosity and the drive to improve processes and ways of working.
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent qualification is preferred.

What we offer

* A varied finance controlling role with broad exposure across reporting, accounting, tax, internal controls, and process improvement.
* An international, collaborative environment with close interaction across finance teams, business stakeholders, and shared services.
* The opportunity to contribute to process improvements, automation, and efficient, future-ready ways of working.
* A growth-oriented culture and the chance to be part of an ambitious team in an industry-leading organisation.
