🔝 Reports to: Retail Marketing Manager
📑 Permanent contract
📍 Madrid, Spain (field-based)
📆 Start date: at the earliest convenience
ABOUT THE POSITION
We're creating this role to bring a dedicated, internalized Visual Merchandising presence to the Spanish market.
The core challenge this role addresses is consistency: across concessions, exhibition spaces and partner stores, each with their own constraints, teams and rhythms, maintaining a coherent brand presentation requires a dedicated field presence.
Based in Madrid and working primarily in stores across the country, you will bridge the gap between the VM guidelines defined by our European HQ and what actually happens on the floor. You will report to the Retail Marketing Team Europe, based at our HQ, while collaborating very closely on a day-to-day basis with our Sales team in Spain.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE THE DIFFERENCE
Drive consistent VM execution across the network
* Visit stores on a regular (weekly) basis to implement seasonal VM updates, ensure guidelines are correctly applied, and identify improvement opportunities
* Monitor and ensure the correct implementation and upkeep of VM elements, proactively identifying and reporting any inconsistencies or issues (outdated seasonal imagery, damaged materials, incorrect personalization elements) to maintain brand standards and execution quality
* Adapt VM guidelines provided by our European HQ to local realities (assortment clusters, store constraints, consumer profiles)
Be the go-to VM contact on the ground
* Serve as the primary point of contact for store staff and partner store teams on all VM-related topics, building strong working relationships
* Train and coach store staff on VM standards to ensure continuity between visits
* Navigate partner store relationships with diplomacy, finding pragmatic in-store compromises while maintaining brand integrity
Connect the field with the central team
* Provide structured reporting to the central team (photos, observations, feedback, competitor insights) through a shared template on a regular cadence
* Collaborate closely with the Sales team, partner store account representatives, and store coordinators for day-to-day operational alignment
* Escalate recurring issues to the central team when needed, and share feedback on what works, what doesn't, and what needs adapting
YOU ARE
* Hands-on and execution-oriented, comfortable being on the road and in stores every day
* Collaborative and people-oriented, building lasting relationships with store teams rather than drive-by visits
* Adaptable and solution-minded, able to find a workable compromise without compromising brand standards
* A proactive communicator who keeps the central team informed without waiting to be asked
* Comfortable navigating partner relationships with both flexibility and firmness
YOU HAVE
* A retail background with hands-on Visual Merchandising experience, whether in a dedicated VM role or as a store / assistant store manager who took ownership of VM within their location
* Experience with department store environments (such as El Corte Inglés) or partner / franchise retail is a genuine advantage
* Strong ability to read and implement VM guidelines in real store environments
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility with store staff while upholding brand standards
* Organizational discipline to manage a heavy travel schedule, multiple locations and competing priorities
* Spanish at native or fully fluent level, and a strong professional level of English (all guidelines, training materials, and communication with our European HQ are in English)
* A valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively across Spain on a weekly basis
