We are DOP. At Roche, we do now what patients need next.

The Opportunity

Are you ready to pioneer the sourcing strategies that deliver critical, near-patient diagnostic technologies to the world? As our Sourcing Lead in Sant Cugat, Spain, you will spearhead global sourcing operations for our Near Patient Care (NPC), Sensors & Cartridges, and External Manufacturing (EM) portfolios. Balancing strategic alignment with tactical excellence, you will lead a highly capable team, drive digital procurement transformation, and collaborate directly with executive leadership to shape the future of our supply network.

● Reporting Line: The position directly reports to the Head of Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE).
● Wider team and stakeholders: You are accountable for leading, coaching, and developing a local team of up to 16 Sourcing Managers and one Business Capability Lead. In addition, you will be part of the CoE Leadership Team (LT) and manage critical relationships with executive leadership, including the Direct Procurement LT.
● Role Type: A leadership position combining an even balance of strategic category alignment and tactical sourcing execution.
● Impact: Your impact is defined by driving measurable financial value, robust governance, and process optimization across the NPC, Sensors & Cartridges and EM globally. Specifically, you are accountable for:

○ Performance & Savings: Driving key metrics (PPV, preferred supplier share, cycle times) while managing your team's OPEX budget.
○ Sourcing & Contracts: Executing compliant global sourcing, market research, and NPI benchmarking. In addition, you will oversee a critical portfolio of low-to-high complexity contracts (e.g., CDAs, SOWs or MSAs).
○ Digital Leadership: Governing and improving Roche`s iCollab platform to advance supplier integration alongside Planning, Global Supply Chain, and the Roche Shared Services (RSS).
○ SLA Governance: Defining KPIs to guarantee on-time and in-full (OTIF) service delivery across your assigned portfolio.
○ Conflict & Exposure: Resolving high-stakes matrix priority conflicts, representing Roche to external providers, and delivering high-frequency monthly/quarterly updates to executive leadership (CoE, Category, Delivery, and DPLT).
○ Process & Technology: Together with our Digital & Process experts, you foster and role model the development, deployment, and usage of novel AI / Digital solutions and continuously identify and implement process improvements.

Who you are

We strive to keep our standards high and look for candidates who can lead high-performance cultures, embrace collaboration, and remove operational friction.

● Education: A University degree (Business or Life Sciences) is required; a Master's (MBA) and CIPS certification are highly preferred.
● Experience: 7 to 10 years in Direct Procurement (Medtech, Automotive, Electronics, Pharmaceuticals, or Chemicals industries) with 3 to 5 years specifically in a Shared Service or CoE environment.
● Market Expertise: Deep sourcing knowledge and portfolio management experience, preferably in Active Diagnostic Ingredients (ADI), Reagents, and Instruments, ensuring the procurement of core chemical and hardware components remains highly competitive.
● AI & Digitalization: You have a strong affinity to explore AI-driven solutions broadly, particularly regarding the digital transformation of operations (Digital 2.0 / Industry 4.0), and encourage your team to achieve advanced knowledge in AI applications.
● Systems & Analytics: Deep understanding of Demand-to-Pay processes, ERP systems (specifically SAP), and BI tools like Tableau.
● Mindset & Soft Skills: A "process-first" thinker with a strong Lean and/or Six Sigma mindset. You possess a proven track record in change management and managing critical executive relationships.
