KYB Analyst / Business Verification Specialist - Czech speaking

About the opportunity

A KYB Analyst is responsible for verifying business customers to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), sanctions, and regulatory requirements. The role supports the safe onboarding and ongoing monitoring of corporate clients, merchants, vendors, or partners.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Business Verification
* Review and verify company registration documents and ownership structures
* Conduct due diligence on legal entities, directors, shareholders, and Ultimate Beneficial Owners
* Validate business legitimacy using internal systems and external databases
* Assess business activities, websites, financial information, and source of funds
AML & Compliance Controls
* Perform sanctions, PEP (Politically Exposed Person), and adverse media screening
* Identify suspicious or high-risk business activity
* Apply risk-based assessment methodologies
* Escalate unusual cases or potential compliance concerns to senior analysts or AML teams
Case Management
* Handle onboarding and periodic review cases within SLA timelines
* Document findings clearly and maintain audit-ready records
* Request additional documents or clarification from customers when needed
* Update CRM, compliance, or case management systems accurately
Risk Assessment
* Assign customer risk ratings based on company type, geography, ownership, and transaction profile
* Identify industries with elevated AML or fraud risks
* Support Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews for higher-risk entities
Operational Excellence
* Follow internal SOPs, regulatory guidance, and compliance frameworks
* Participate in QA reviews and process improvement initiatives
* Maintain productivity and quality KPIs
* Support knowledge-sharing and documentation updates when regulations or procedures change

What you need to be successful

Technical Skills
* Understanding of AML/KYC/KYB regulations
* Knowledge of corporate structures and UBO identification
* Experience with compliance tools, screening systems, or CRM platforms
* Strong documentation and analytical skills
Soft Skills
* Attention to detail
* Critical thinking and investigative mindset
* Good written and verbal communication in English and Czech
* Ability to manage workload under deadlines
* Decision-making based on policies and risk indicators
