We are seeking a dynamic intern to join our Product Development team in September and for 6 months.

As a Product Development intern at DSMP, your primary missions will be as follow :

* Define, coordinate and accompany the technical development process from the first sketch to prototyping and serial production
* Style research based on a brief by the design team
* Fabric and accessories research based on a brief by the design team
* Finalize the seasonal collection plan in close collaboration with the product development manager, design team and commercial team
* Prepare tech packs for all designs and keep line sheets and product files up-to-date
* Launch & follow the production of samples in time for the shows and showrooms, working hand-in-hand with the design team, product development manager and the commercial team.
* Daily follow-up with all suppliers and partners to ensure a seamless communication and development of the collections for all categories
* Order fabrics and accessories all along sampling process.
* Follow the changes in design from the initial sample to the final product and keep all corresponding data up to date and all relevant teams informed.
* Participation in fitting appointments (prototypes, SMS)
* Track the samples during the sampling process and liaise with the commercial & press teams.
* Work with the product development manager and production manager in calculating final cost prices in anticipation of the showroom.
* Support the product developer in the archiving process at the end of each season.

Profil recherché

IDEAL CANDIDATE

* Based in Paris
* Outstanding organizational and planning skills, balancing multiple, and often changing, priorities in a fast-moving environment
* Design & sketching abilities
* Strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills
* Good Excel knowledge
* Creative problem solver with an analytical and methodical approach to tasks
* Good knowledge of manufacturing processes covering a broad variety of products
* Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively internally & externally
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good product knowledge and strong commercial awareness of the luxury fashion and streetwear markets
* Dynamic, independent and interested in working in a multi-cultural environment within the fashion industry
* Fluent in French and English. All other languages are a plus
* A deep interest in and knowledge of the fashion world, especially Comme des Garçons and Dover Street Market, is highly desirable
