About the Role
We are looking for a curious, driven, and analytical university student to join our P&H Analytics team as an intern. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the life & health insurance and healthcare space.
In this role, you will collaborate with actuaries, data scientists, healthcare professionals, and business stakeholders to support analytics initiatives aimed at helping people live healthier, longer, and better lives.
This role contributes to the delivery of customer outcomes that are reliable, thoughtful, and create meaningful impact for customers and society. The role holder is expected to embed a customer first mindset in all decisions and actions by developing a clear understanding of customer needs, taking end to end ownership to resolve issues, and working collaboratively across teams to continuously enhance the customer journey-both directly and indirectly.
Internship Period: 15 June 2026 - 31 August 2026
The purpose of our internship is to provide students, who are passionate in Insurance industry, the opportunity to understand our business through hands-on work experience, projects and programme activities.
What you will learn and contribute:
Depending on the suitable development opportunities in P&H Strategy, Business Activation & Analytics Department, you may be involved in
* Conduct enhancement on in-house claims, customer and healthcare provider datasets
* Support ad-hoc exploratory data analysis and modelling
* Conduct research on emerging trends in ageing, healthcare and medical services
* Contribute to proof-of-concept projects involving agentic workflow, large language models (LLMs) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
* Prepare insights, summaries, and visualisations to support business decision-making
What you will need:
* University students (or above) major in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Public Health or related disciplines
* Proficiency in Python, familiarity with data analysis and machine learning libraries is preferred
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly
