About The Team

Data Modelling team is part of the Data Science and Analytics team. We are responsible for driving effective data management by analyzing and translating business needs to create solution data model, implementing data strategies and creating physical data models, updating and improving local and metadata models, developing ideal data coding practices to ensure consistency within the system.

Internship Focus

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to dive into real-world data challenges. As an intern, you'll actively contribute to constructing and refining data models. You'll gain hands-on experience in implementing data strategies, ensuring system consistency, and optimizing data flow. This role offers a unique chance to learn about the intricacies of data management, making a meaningful impact while refining your skills in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, data scientists, and data engineer to understand the requirements and objectives of the system or database.
* Create conceptual data models, logical data models and physical data models to develop clear and measurable key performance drivers/metrics within the business.
* Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of the data models, including entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs), data dictionaries, and metadata. Ensure that the documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible to stakeholders.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of data modeling processes and methodologies within the organization .
* Actively participate in data analytics projects, leveraging data modeling expertise to design and implement data structures that enable efficient data analysis, visualization, and reporting

Education And Experience Requirements

* Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Information Science, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science.
* SQL proficiency is mandatory.
* Knowledge/experience of relational databases, database management systems (DBMS), and SQL.
* Knowledge/experience with Oracle Cloud, Snowflake, AWS S3, Airflow will be advantageous.
* Experience with cloud technologies is ideal (AWS/GCP/Azure etc.)
* Highly motivated individual with proven ability to think conceptually and abstractly
* Preferably with internship of at least 2 months duration
