About this opportunity

RAN Software & Compute Platforms Engineering (RCE) is responsible for delivering Ericsson's Radio Access Network (RAN) software and compute portfolio end-to-end.

Our mission is to drive the evolution of next-generation networks by building high-performing, scalable, and increasingly AI-powered and programmable solutions. We focus on managing growing product complexity while meeting market demands and ensuring top-quality, secure, and efficient deployments.

What you will do

* Work within a DevOps-oriented team with a strong software engineering focus, including Java/Python-based development to support and evolve CI solutions
* Contribute to modernization initiatives by improving existing tools, systems, and ways of working
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable smooth adoption of new solutions and processes

What you will bring
* Being a student in BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent degree
* A commitment to continuous learning and adaptability to change
* A proactive, innovative mindset with a "do-it" attitude
* Basic software development skills
* Competence in JAVA and/or Python
* A good command of English
* Practical knowledge of scripting and automation, especially Bash scripting
* A passion for writing clean, maintainable code and following best practices in software development.

Nice to have

* Familiarity with Javascript and prior exposure to Perl is a plus
* Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Spinnaker, or GitLab CI) is beneficial
* Knowledge of container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes and Helm) is an advantage
