Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
Join our Infrastructure and DevOps team and support the automation and continuous improvement of our virtual development environments. In this role, you will work on modern infrastructure topics, helping to increase system reliability, scalability, and efficiency through automation and best practices.
* Shape the future: Support the introduction and expansion of configuration management for virtual machines using tools such as Ansible, ensuring consistent system configuration and maintenance
* Reliable work: Contribute to improving the reliability and maintainability of our VDI environments by automating configuration and operational tasks
* Take responsibility: Assist in integrating and utilizing secrets management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault for secure handling of credentials and machine secrets
* Keep the overview: Support the implementation and improvement of monitoring and logging systems to ensure stable operation of virtual environments
* Being strong together: Collaborate closely with engineering teams to identify automation opportunities and drive process improvements
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
You are a motivated and technically curious student interested in infrastructure, automation, and system reliability in a modern engineering environment.
* Study Field: Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
* Experience: Initial exposure to infrastructure, DevOps, or automation topics is an advantage
* Skills: Programming or scripting experience in at least one language (e.g. Python, Bash, or similar)
* Technical Skills: Knowledge of Linux and Windows systems (e.g. RHEL, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu) and familiarity with infrastructure or automation tools such as Git, Ansible, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus
* Way of Working: Independent, structured, and solution-oriented, with strong communication and documentation skills
* Personality: Analytical mindset, proactive attitude, and willingness to learn and explore new technologies
* Language Skills: Fluent English skills and at least basic German skills, both written and spokenPlease attach the following documents to your application:

* Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That's why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
* Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
* You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
