Join AstraZeneca - Where Science Meets People

At AstraZeneca, we put patients first and are driven by the ambition to meet unmet medical needs worldwide. We are a global, science-led biopharmaceutical company where curiosity, collaboration, and innovation come together to make a real difference. Here, you'll be empowered to think big, take ownership, and work alongside dedicated colleagues to turn the impossible into reality.

We are now looking for an Advice & Guidance Specialist to join our HR Services team in Lisbon, supporting colleagues across Switzerland, the UK, and Ireland.

The Role

As an Advice & Guidance Specialist, you will provide high-quality, day-to-day HR advice and guidance within established policies and frameworks. You will support both employees and line managers across core HR areas such as recruitment, compensation and benefits, training, and employee relations.

Working within a collaborative HR team and with access to senior support, you will handle queries independently, resolving issues at first point of contact where possible and raising more complex cases appropriately. This role also offers exposure to HR projects and administrative ownership within a defined geography, making it ideal for individuals developing their HR career or studying toward professional HR qualifications.

Key Accountabilities

* Deliver day-to-day advice and guidance on HR policies, programs, and processes across Switzerland, the UK, and Ireland
* Act as a first point of contact for HR-related queries, interpreting policy, diagnosing issues, and resolving cases independently
* Support line managers in understanding, interpreting, and applying HR policies in practice
* Provide hands-on support in the execution of HR delivery within your specialist area
* Manage allocated administrative HR activities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance
* Participate in project work and research activities under the guidance of senior colleagues
* Collaborate closely with HR team members to ensure a high-quality, employee-centered experience

Essential Skills & Experience

* Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a multicultural environment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a confidence in advising and supporting others
* Analytical mentality with a demonstrated ability to approach problem-solving effectively
* Ability to work independently while knowing when to raise complex issues
* Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a strong customer-service focus
* Willingness to share ideas and contribute to continuous improvement

Desirable Skills & Experience

* Previous HR experience or an academic background in Human Resources
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ways of Working

We believe in the power of in-person collaboration to drive innovation and connection. This role follows AstraZeneca's hybrid working model, with an expectation of working from the office at least three days per week, balanced with flexibility to support individual needs.

Why AstraZeneca?

* Be part of a globally respected, science-led organisation
* Gain exposure to multi-country HR operations within a complex global business
* Work in a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment
* Build strong foundations for a long-term career in Human Resources
