Direct Materials Category Lead

We are looking for a Direct Materials Procurement Category Leader based in Izmir, Turkey who will be responsible for category management and strategy deployment for specific material categories for the European Union, Middle East and Africa regions.

 

As a Direct Materials Procurement Category Leader, you will contribute to the definition of global DIM category strategy and its deployment taking into consideration regional business requirements and supply market trends to secure materials availability at optimal total cost of ownership.

 

In this role you will:
* Contribute to category strategy definition and ensure its deployment across the region
* Identify and implement price and productivity initiatives
* Implement data driven sourcing activities
* Negotiate optimal terms and conditions with vendors/suppliers
* Lead standardization and streamlining of the vendor portfolio for assigned categories
* Manage vendor's performance through Supplier Relationship Model and KPI Scorecard
* Ensure full compliance with local legislation and company's policies and practices
* Support PMI Sustainability program leveraging on reliable collaboration with Suppliers

 

We're looking for someone with:

* Hold a university degree
* Have at least 2 years of experience in Procurement with exposure to multinational environment
* Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
* Have strong communication & interpersonal skills and have attention for detail
* Are collaborative, a great teammate, customer oriented and a quick learner
* Advanced knowledge of SAP, Advanced Excel, Power BI is an advantage
