Job Description

Purpose of the role
To provide data-led expert oversight and check and challenge on business and compliance matters to evidence that the organisation is operating in a compliance with Barclays legal, regulatory and ethical responsibilities.

Accountabilities
* Identification and assessment of compliance risks through thorough reviews of business activities, changes, processes, testing and systems to.
* Identification and investigation of potential market abuse, including but not limited to, Insider Dealing, Unlawful Disclosure, Market Manipulation or Anti-Competitive Conduct.
* Conduct investigation of compliance risk events or breaches. Oversight and check and challenge of corrective actions and preventative measures to avoid future occurrences.
* Implementation of compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and ensuring that the bank's internal policies are aligned with international standards, including jurisdictional requirements.
* Collaboration with 1LOD, other relevant Compliance teams and legal, and relevant risk management functions to facilitate a comprehensive approach to compliance and risk management.
* Identification, investigation and oversight of potential money laundering, terrorist financing or other financial crime.

Join us as a Product: Trade and Working Capital Specialist, where you will be a financial crime product specialist who can provide expert advice on the Trade & Working Capital product suite, supporting mainly product teams on the design, suitability and delivery of financial crime mitigation solutions across receivables finance, supply chain finance, payables finance, inventory finance, trade loans, documentary trade, structured trade and related working capital solutions. The role requires someone with deep technical product knowledge, strong commercial judgement, and the ability to advise on inherent financial crime risk, mitigating controls and outcomes This is a senior advisory role for someone who combines deep Trade & Working Capital product expertise with the confidence to advise internal teams on financial crime risk . The successful candidate will be commercially minded, technically credible, and able to operate across business, product, and control functions to deliver practical, client-focused, and well-governed outcomes. You will thrive in this role having product expertise, strategic thinking, commercial judgement, solution design, executive communication, risk awareness, problem solving, collaboration and client focus.

Key Responsibilities include:
* Act as the subject matter expert for Trade & Working Capital products and financial crime risk
* Work with Coverage, Product, Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Operations and Client Service teams to ensure TWC product solutions adequately mitigate financial crime risk.
* Support product teams in their process of developing products to ensure that financial crime risks are considered mitigated and governed (NAPA, Product Review and Change Governance).

To be successful in this role you will have:
* Significant experience advising on Trade Finance and Working Capital products within a banking, corporate banking, or transaction banking environment.
* Strong understanding of trade products and structures, including receivables, payables, supply chain finance, documentary trade, trade loans and working capital optimisation.
* Stakeholder management, influencing, communication and commercial judgement, with the ability to operate as a trusted advisor to Coverage, Product, and control partners.
* Desirable experience includes trade digitisation, fintech-enabled trade solutions, ESG-linked trade or sustainable supply chain solutions, and relevant professional qualifications such as CDCS, CITF, ACT or equivalent.
* Deep understanding of financial crime risk.
