At a glance

We have an exciting opportunity for a 12 month Internship within our Corporate Banking Coverage Team.
CBC is responsible for the Bank's relationship management and business development activities - so you will be involved in various debt financing transactions across our Corporate and Financial Sponsor client base, assisting Senior Bankers with cross-selling of our product set, as well as sourcing and developing new-to-Bank relationships.
In CBC, you will working directly with senior bankers who will help to coach and develop your skill sets. You will be part of a small pool of analysts and associates and gain exposure to clients from various sectors as well as to all of the Bank's product teams who collaborate with CBC to design and deliver the services provided to our clients.

You will gain an understanding of the key elements of originating, assessing, structuring, and executing transactions, with active participation in these deals being highly encouraged.

The day-to-day will be a combination of client due-diligence (financial and regulatory), pipeline management, transaction execution, risk analysis, producing pitching materials, and portfolio management.

In the UK, Corporate Banking is made up of four distinct sector teams:
* Digital & Consumer: Servicing new and existing customers in sectors such as telecoms, technology, digital infrastructure and food & beverages.

* Financial Institutions: Responsible for debt financing and credit management for UK and international insurance and pension clients as well as relationships with other Banks.

* Mobility, Manufacturing & Real Estate: Covering sectors such social housing, industrials and logistics

* New Energies: Focused on the energy transition and helping our clients in their path to net-zero, whilst ensuring todays energy mix remains available to the economy.

You will have the opportunity to work with teams across the Bank particularly with Financing Solutions (who specialise in structuring debt transactions), Markets (debt capital markets, hedging and distribution), Transaction Banking and Risk (credit risk approval).

Through the wider bank collaboration, Corporate Banking Coverage acts as the gateway to ABN AMRO and help our clients navigate their way through our product and service offerings to fulfil their unique needs, all while ensuring the Bank is appropriately protected against risk.

Your job

As an intern within Corporate Banking, your key tasks and attributes may include:
* Working on live transactions and interacting with professionals from across the Bank
* Supporting on business development and transaction work
* Designing tailored presentations for clients to outline solutions to their financing needs
* Working closely with other teams including Client Acceptance, Financing Solutions, Markets, and Risk.
You'll need to demonstrate:
