Many young students in The Czech Republic speak limited English and this made thing a bit easier but overall I was disappointed in the fact there ws no effort made by the staff to intergrate the curriculum with The Czech language. Socially speaking the language situation was not so tough because in the summer there are so many students in Prague and many speak English. Most restaurants speak English.

I attended the EILC course a month before the uni courses started and that was the best time of the sejour. During those 4 weeks I learnt the language as far as I could. During the semester I did not participate in language lessons.

Most of old people in Czech Republic doesn't speak any english, and in some social situations the communication was difficult, including with the women at the door of the host residence, that didn't speak english at all.

i was having a czech for foreigners course,but the language was too difficult and the teacher not so excited at the lectures!however i practiced my English becouse of the courses and the foreign students as well as the local mcs students..inside the city the communication is not so easy becouse English is not so wide-spoken!

Czech is a very hard language to learn in 6 months so I didn't dedicate myself 100% to it. Maybe because my english gets me through it
