Before coming to study here I would suggest everyone to familiarize with accomodation conditions. I would also recommend to get into contact with some students who were studying at this college before, in order to get some tips.

-Travelling around Ireland is recommended. -Take care with your money or it´ll be run out really soon. -Take a house near to the city center,if possible or you´ll spend a lot of money and time travelling. -The food is not really good, but there is not solution for that.

Building knowledge and studying abroad
Aoife
Ireland, Undergraduate
Business Studies
Dublin Institute of Technology
4.0/5
Overall
I studied a broad range of business subjects including marketing, human resource management, supply chain management, accounting, sales management, I.T., among others. Within my degree I also spent 4 years studying Spanish and Spanish modules relating to learning the language as well as learning about Spanish culture and arts and Spanish/Latin American current affairs. I spent one year submerged in the Spanish language and culture during my third year at university where I had the opportunity to study abroad. I studied in Alicante where I took all business and language related modules in Spanish. I also completed a year-long business project regarding entrepreneurship in the area that I lived in, being Alicante city. Without the previous knowledge from studying in DIT I would have struggled greatly to chose a project title and subject modules in Spain. Overall I gained a good grasp of the business world via each module and I feel that it will benefit me immensely in the future.

Pros
broad range of modules, option to study abroad, experienced lecturers, wide range of resources available to assist in my studies, ability to learn from peers
Cons
modules weren't as indepth about worldwide business negotiations, it would have been of more value to study more business modules in Spanish to learn greater Spanish

No - I think it's a good opportunity to become more independent and self-confident, if one has to find out everything on his own.

Don't get frustrated if you face some problems at the beginning (you will for sure!). Everything will work out in the end and there's always someone, who will help you and give advice.

International students, who come to Ireland, should take the opportunity to travel as much as possible. One shouldn't leave the country without having seen Galway, Belfast, the Cliffs of Mohair, the Burren, the Ring of Kerry, Connemara - and of course every corner of Dublin.

Daft.ie is probably the easiest way of finding an accomodation in Dublin. Travelling around the country is a MUST do as Ireland has nothing to do with the capital-city :)

the best thing in Ireland is the nature and thatswhy use your spartime to travel as much as possible; the wether isn't that bad as it is said; the will not be cheated with the amount of beer you get, i.e. pints are overfull, get used to the typical irish way of living-they don't complain and are very friendly and don't be surprised about the straight queues at bus stations
