Nice doesn't offer much night-life. However, Cannes, Monaco and St. Tropez are pretty close! These places offer some amazing clubs and bars; try le Baoli in Cannes, Karement in Monaco or le VIP Room in ST. Tropez. Quite expensive though, but good fun.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I would arrange it on my own; the studio I booked through the university was extremely expensive, and wasn't really in the nicest part of town...

Book it on your own; there are plenty of housing agencies which offer more affordable apartments in or near the city centre.

Try to speak as much French as possible, even with the other internationalk students, although this is really hard; most of them taking classes in English, and speak very little French. French class at EDHEC was a laugh..

Partying in the south of France, if you want to do it properly and enjoy the good clubs, is very expensive, but well worth it if you're there for an exchange. Housing, as said before, can be done cheaper than I did, and you'll be better off. Food is expensive in France, but then, maybe that's because I just love French food...

If you're in it to learn something, try something else. If you're in it to have fun under blue skies, meet loads of international students and want to increase your knowledge of the French language, go here. One tip which will save you a lot of frustration on travelling and getting across town: buy a scooter. It will cost you virtually no money at all, as you will be able to sell it at a good price when you leave. Also, get a local bank-account for Carte Bleu; saves frustration at registers when your card from home is not accepted.

Academic
Course recommendations
The finance courses are pretty good, but the rest was nothing compared to Tilburg. Very small course loads in general, and taught in a very school-like manner; mandatory attendance etc. One positive remark though, apart from the Finance classes: take the Geopolitics class, which is taught by Mr. Nestorovic, an ESSEC-teacher.. One of the best courses I have ever taken!

The exams are WAY to easy... Studying for three hours means you'll pass the exams. Everybody passes anyway; I haven't heard of anybody failing any course.
