I feel I have learnt more this year than I could have ever hope to learn stuck in grammar lessons etc! I have found all of the French students and staff extremely welcoming and patient which has been one of the reasons why I have made so much progress and enjoyed myself so much.

Living and studying in France meant that I had to improve. You can't avoid it as everyday is spent with French people, taking part in French lessons, even just everyday things like going to the supermarket help to improve language skills.

You are in contact with french people 24 hours a day, and that is the best way to learn a language. Spending time with exchange students from all over the world (speaking french, of course!) is also very useful.

I think I did a lot of progress in French. At the beginning I had some problems to understand people but after some weeks I improved my French.
