I think that, although they had great teachers and resources for all the courses, they still need some more organization in their staff in charge of administrative tasks. It is sometimes uneasy for International students to see that your transcript has been misplaced or that your courses are mistaken.

I really encourage anybody with the opportunity to study in this School. Academically, it was top and facilities amazing. Also, there are parties for international students every week and there is even a bar inside the university!!!

Finding off-campus housing was going to be so difficult.

Have better transportation from the dorms to the school; since the dorms are quite far from campus.

Red tape in France is huge, be prepared to be rejected at least twice for anything you ask. You'll get eventually though.

Diverse experience
Dhanvin P

Financial Management, 2021
Overall
ESSEC offers many courses for BBA. The first two year focuses on fundamental courses in business, such as marketing, accounting, finance, law, math, statistics etc. After the two years, people can choose whatever courses they are interested in. Some of the professors are excellent and very helpful to students. The French people are nice in general and helped me a lot in integrating in France when I first arrived.
Pros
Courses in English, Nice and dynamic people, some excellent professors, many opportunities to study abroad.
Cons
Student life (clubs and associations)

I did not feel fully ionformed about the courses that were on offer before I went and I dont think I made the right choices in my first term. Also, administrative avenues were not adequately explained for things like opening a bank account etc.
In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!

Excellent university with an even better reputation. A wide range of courses a that are manageable with a reasonable workload and some very good lecturers.

Things may not go smoothly at first but they will work out and you will find that you will settle in quite quickly. Be open to doing new things and meeting new people and in the case of the frech people try not to lose your patience as their way of doing things can often be inefficient and can get quite maddening. Also interact with the french students who are usually happy to help out.

Great resources and Organization
Rani D
France, Undergraduate
Business Studies, 2024
Overall
The school is very organized and resourceful. The classes are well managed and varied allowing us to learn a vast array of subjects and knowledge. I would however critique the program by saying that we focus too much on testing and course lessons, sacrificing a lot of essay and theoretical work that would allow us to better understand concepts and apply them to unfamiliar situations.
Pros
Well organized, Thorough courses, Subject variety
Cons
Rigid academic system, content-heavy with little theoretical and practical application

Overall
