La Douche! The only place where there was music besides the 80's and 90's.

Personal comments
Although the room and facilities were sufficient, there was lack of an area within the building to meet one and other. The location was great thought, only 10 min from the center by foot!

Personal comments
The set up for interaction between french and international students should be better organised. Being a freemover it would have been easier to have somebody by your side that knows the system of the school.

I wish I had known...
The expenses and the fact that La Rochelle is a city with only 50.000 inhabitants. Coming from a big city it can be hard to adjust. This is also the reason why having a car makes it easy. The city is small and in order to explore the surroundings(which are beautifull) a car is needed. The public transport are active only untill 20.00.

Final comments
La Rochelle a nice medieval city at the coast of the Atlantic ocean. You will experience the French language and if you stay a whole year you will experience the French culture. People are polite but make some extra effort to meet the locals, they know where the good parties are.
