Challenging and interesant

Germany,
Informatics, 2023
Overall
I had an amazing journey in the FH Aachen. Not only did we have great teachers who explained everything with passion, we also had the opportunity to practice everything we learned every week. The practicals consisted of programming different things in different programming languages like C++, Java, Php etc. We also had team project where we would develop programms, apps and websites. I learned there the importance of communicating and transparency in groups.

Pros
Practicals every week to make sure we understand the concepts better.
Cons
Wish they had more events for students to interact with each other outside of the university.

I wish I had known...
I would liked to have known more about the language and about the country. I couldn´t because I was in the United States and the English language took all my time untill then.

Fachhochschule Aachen

Overall

Nice time at FH Aachen with high improvement potential

Overall
There is a good choice of courses however you should be aware that most of these in the later semesters are limited in number of participants. Which means that you can apply but most likely won´t get the place if you`re just 5 minutes late after the application process started.
Futhermore the telephone availability of the examination office is only for very patient people. Processes could and should be optimized.

I do enjoyed the courses but as usual it also depends on the professors, who are mainly very nice.

If you do not study Global or International Business it should be mentioned that they only offer courses in french and spanish on B2 Level. If you want to learn the language or refresh your knowledge from school, there are no options.
