Academic
Course recommendations
The German classes were quite easy. I think that we could have been given more advice about choosing courses as the German University can seem confusing to an outsider.

Most of it comes down to common sense. If you're going to study abroad then the likelihood is you're still quite young; so just go and enjoy it. Any problems that occur are usually quite easy to sort out and there will be someone to help you.

The housing was great. I shared a kitchen and bathroom with people from all over the world. The area was safe and clean and not too far from the 'centre'.

Personal comments
If you're English and feeling homesick then you could go to Potsdamer Platz and watch an original version film. Berlin is an amazing city and I particularly like going for cheap cocktails in Kreuzberg. There's also a really great Italian restaurant not far from the station.
