When Southern Denmark Business School was founded in 1984, it concentrated solely on business studies and business languages. Since it grew
out of four small, existing business schools, spread across South Jutland, it had its roots firmly planted in the region's business world right from the
start. The initial years were characterized by a rapid growth in the number of students, both full-time and part-time, and an increasingly important
role for academic research.
