The university seem sto be quite small and with a good atmosphere and good attitude towards studens. It looks like academic teachers as well as administrative staff takes care of students. Also actions taken by students organization ESB were bery well organized and it is profitable to become a member of an organization:)

Concerning the travel inside the country there is a lot of possibities to find some promotions for students. It is usefull to take part in so called crash course of Dutch language - it is good time to get to know a city. Especially good option is to buy a cheap ticket for city communication but all info regarding this will be given by a coordinator. I have a problem when I got sick to make an appointment with a doctor a the best solution was to go to the emergency in the hospital, I went there on Saturday and there were no queue and I did not have to pay but I am not sure if it is a rule here. The cheapest shops are Lidl and Aldi, but there are also some nice promotions in more expensive stores.

Not really, I knew people who were at the EHSAL before me, so I was really well informed about EHSAL and Brussels.

It was a really good time here in Brussels, you have the chance to meet people form different countries and get to know there culture. For the travelling, since Belgium is not that big and close to France and Netherlands you can easily go to Paris or Amsterdam within 1 - 2 hours of travelling.

Try to avoid financial courses. Become member of ESB! It's worth it!! And make sure you also get in touch with Belgiums, because your main courses will be with other Erasmus.

It was a great experience that I would not have wanted to miss! Brussels doesn't require a car, so if you come here bus, train or plane is ok, you can get everywhere by public transport. If you are here, don't miss to travel to Gent, Brugge and Knogge, it's worth the seeing. If you have any problems, you can go to Dirk, the coordinator for Erasmus, but sometimes you have to keep him on his toes so that he gets going.

Because most exams are at the end of the semester you have a whole semester time for travelling and living. EHSAL is great, especially the international office (Dirk Van Waelderen)

If you want to travel during your international student experience Brussels is great, because there are cheap flights to great destinations and with the THALYS you can reach Paris within 1,5 hours. There is a public transport card available for students (costs only 25€ for the whole year). Just ask the international office!

try to travel and see as much as possible in the biginnig of the semester(if you stay for only 1 semester), because latter you will have to do projects, stydy and so on, so there will be less time for having fun
