Food and accomodation were definitely cheaper, I can't tell you why, it's just a function of the German economy. It is also fairly well known that Deutsche Telecomm are expensive, plus nearly all my calls were international, so .... Everything else seemed about the same.

Because I lived abroad, and I had to reach my family in Rome a couple of times; then I had to go back to Italy to get some material for my final essay. Italian food is then more expansive in Germany than in Italy
