English is the language in the University and you must know it to get around here. Outside it, though, German (of course) prevails and it's a bit tougher, but most of the Germans I talked to knew some English so I seldomly had too many problems.

I am a native English speaker so I had no problems with English skills. I did want to improve my German. Even though I am fluent, I wished I had more opportunities to use the language.

The language of instruction at my host University is English, at which I am fluent. The understanding and communication in everyday life goes without any problem. I am also well advanced in German and I can communicate with the students of the local country-Germans, even though everyone of them speaks English very well.

Well i had no problems in school since English is the medium of instruction and exchange. In town, real problem because German is spoken everywhere
