Why?
Because living among students is a good life where good experience and in times of difficulty we can get help at any time and more over the university was just five minutes walk so no troubles of catching bus or metro and can wake up accordingly, so it's really an good place to stay.

The accomodation at this university is something outstanding because firstly it's cheap and friendly environment is their among students with different cultures and safetywise also their's a warden all day and night so what else a student wants, better than this regular services for garbage and good people and some vending machines, so its good accomodation.

During my fist semester in France I lived at a student house tipe of flat for two sharing... but we were three. Further semesters were spent in a town center flat (45 Sq mts) living with my girlfriend. Back in the UK I was living in rented houses in Portsmouth, usually 4 or 5 bedroom houses sharing with other students, usually EBP too. During my placements I chose the same type of accomodation.

Because it was very important to integrate with other exchange students and local students and the best way to do it is living on a campus.

The room was OK as for one person, cost 300 eur with governement support it was around 200, bathroom should have been clean more often because sometimes it was very dirty and there was no internet connection at that time. I was happy with quality of my room but I know quality was variable, depends of the room.

It seems pretty random who gets to stay in the on-campus dorms which is by far the easiest to arrange...if you're lucky getting one. It is extremely hard as a non-french speaking person to find accomodations by yourself. The school helps out by finding hotels where you can stay. There are extremely expensive, though, and not very good.

To be more close to the city, I did live half semester on the campus and the rest on town. It was a really good experience both ways.

It is quite good because it is not expensive, so you can not expect too much after even getting a help from the French government. They give you back a small amount of the rent you have to pay even if you are not european.

The university rooms on campus are old and very small. But the price can worth it if you plan to travel a lot during your stay! (120 euros per month in 2002!)
