Personal comments
The accomodation was not offered by the host university but by a seperate organisation - no residency existed. The accomodation was student orientated in terms of facilities and situation. Effort was made to ensure both owners and lodgers were satisfied. Personally, I was close to all ammenities, the university & city centre. The flat was spacious, clean & provided the necessary conveniences.

Campo dei Fiori offers a fabulous social scene, particularly "la vineria" or "Heartbreak"- v.popular with foreign students. Trastevere/Testaccio have v.good restaurants and are the main nightclub areas due to licensing issues in the centre. Views from "Gianicolo" & "Pincio" are not to be missed, as well as the main city centre sights. A day out to Ostai Anitca is also worthwhile!

Final comments
A year not to be missed! Educationally interesting but culturally awsome! Travel to the fullest-trains are both very economical and available. Always have a written contract for accomodation - legal documentation is 100% to your personal benefit so know your rights and entitlements! Be aware of pharmacy opening hours; sundays often rotate business.

Personal comments
Due to difference in exam constitution , i.e. presenting orally instead of written, and therefore possible inequality in the level of difficult endured by each student, it would perhaps be advisable to offer the choice of exam type preffered.

Initially undertook 3week language course prior to studying in order to help my educational integration. General experiences were 100%positive- immensley enjoyed dealing with potentially difficult language situations & constantly being tested. Within university interacted well in discussions with professors & other students. Often mistaken for an Italian.

Personal comments
If travelling throughout the country is likely, it's much more advisable to buy a "chilometrico" ticket for the trains than individau trip tickets-it offers huge savings for distance:price. Bus/underground passes are very good value for money-around £10/month with student card. Also, check for student reductions for all facilites/entertainment.
