Santa Clara Uni., Santa Clara, United States
Management Science, Undergraduate, University Agreement
Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I lived in a dorm with French and international, mostly Erasmus, students. It was a great fun, social experience, although sometimes it was hard to find a quiet space. The town is away from the university and has some very cool apartments.

unfortunately reims management school disposes of only one residence next to the campus which can't host everybody by far. but as both residence and school are located in a part of town with a few violence problems (with rms students being aggressed as well), it's not very recommendable to live next to the campus anyway

different choices were offered as far as accomodation was concerned. i chose to share a flat with 2 other students and although it was not a very nice area, the athmosphere was great since most of the students lived in the same building.

Very close to school, too small rooms (9 square meters), no reception so you can let stay friends at your place, night guards checking the houses which makes the living there safe(r) and more quiet during night, newly furnished but still very simple.

It was quite disorganised the first year I arrived, however I know that the system has improved a lot since. The university has a tendency not to get involved in student affairs here and there is no advice for hunting for housing outside the on-campus residences unfortunately.

Being in an only student environment is fun, as everyone gets along really well and has something to share from their native culture. However, it would be nice to have more integration with the french
