System really different- Differnet way of teaching (a lot of group work, presentation... that we don't have in France)- Way of working by yourself quite new for us- be careful to stay concentrated on course- it is really easy to get lost and not knowing what is more important: going to Parkend on the Thursday night or the Finance lecture on Fridays mornings? Nobody's there to force or at least control the student- Complete auto-management which can be a bit surprising at the beginning

In Oxford teachers are quite stricts with courseworks. The level of knowledge in lessons is high. Teachers demand self-study to students and facilities such as books and resources in library are amazing in quality and quantity

I found the undergraduate curriculum rather school-like, and not very academic. Again, it is a matter of personal preferences, but be alert.

More individual projects and presentations (only one opportunity at the end of the course so far) would be a good idea. Group work doesn't always work out well. More independent study would be nice. The lectures are not worth the journey to the campus 7 miles outside the town (at least for IT students), downloading them and studying them independently is usually just as or more effective.

The postgraduate courses in Hotel Management are very good. I also took 2 classes witht he undergrads, and was positively surprised by the quality of the teaching. But there is a lot to do, I spent a least 40 hours a week doing school work.
