“internationals are only welcome beacause of MONEY”
Amy

Overall
I do not think that this country is ready to host international students, in general. This is based on my experiences in University of Twente and University of Groningen. People are so shy and unfriendly towards foreigners. There is also the weird
almost-racist segregation between dutch and non-dutch students. For instance, if you are a foreigner you can not find a place in a dutch student house (beacause they wont bother speaking english even if they all can).
Maybe not every student will find this so terrible to deal with (if your are living in your international students bubble). However, there can be times that this becomes very important. For instance, I had terrible experiences with doctors.

I got the First Certificate Exam (Cambridge ESOL) before doing the Erasmus so I could defend myself pretty well in reading, writting and listening. Although I improved my English in those areas too what I improved the most was my speaking. After comming back from The Netherlands I got the Certificate in Advenced English (Cambridge ESOL)
