Final comments
The only disadvantage is that you need at least two hours to get to another city but Groningen itself is a fabulous student town! I´m sure you will enjoy it a lot!

Dont miss Cafe Spiegel(cool cafe), De Kar (good music), Rumba ( to dance!!), Vera, The Negendle Circle, Sally´s on mondays (erasmus night, happy hour!!), Drie Gezusters. Dont forget: Queens day, 30 April, and Pinkpop Music Festival, around may, south of Holland. Great.

I did not speak Dutch before I got to the Netherlands but it was not a problem at all because Dutch people can speak english very well, and we had english courses at the univerity as well. Besides I tried to learn the Dutch language with some locals but it was not easy.

Difficult to communicate with local people because most of them using local language, but at lease we can understand each other.
