I had a cell phone in Germany, which cost me more. Also, I traveled and went out a great deal more in order to enjoy the culture.

Watch out for the room you have to rent. Start searching for a room as soon as possible, otherwise you'll end up paying your *ss off.

All I can say is DO NOT pigeon hole yourself into a group of English speakers. Your German can only get worse as a result.
