I went to France, but it was supposed to study in English, but once there, I decided to do in French, because they said that was pretty easy to learn the basics, and I had French lessons, on my 8th and 9th grade, I didn't remember nothing, but I decided to take the risk, on order to learn one more language. But in the end my only French words, were the ones that I learn on the classes, I had facilities on understating French because some words are similar to my native language, Portuguese, so I didn't effort the maximum as I could. Out of the classes I spook English, with, mostly, my Australians friends. Basically I learned the basic French, and improve my English.

I wish I would have chosen to do my course in French, however, unfortunately I don't think I would have passed. Therefore, I did it in English and went back to France in July to do an intensive French language course - brilliant!
