I wish I had known...
I wish I had known that the school I went to was full of rich, spoiled kids who, although coming from all corners of the world, were basically the same in that they were immature, not academically inclined, and rather self-centered.

Personal recommendation
I would recommend that any student considering this university look at others instead. This school is overpriced for what it's worth. If you are a mature student who values your academic experience as much as your social experience abroad, you should consider going elsewhere.

I visited the Black Forest during my year abroad and it was amazing. The northernmost part is very close to Heidelberg and accessible by train, making the trip very affordable. I would also suggest taking a German language course. It will help in your daily life while in Germany.

Multicultural environment and dynamic learning

Overall
As a university, Schiller International University offers many opportunities, such as the possibility of transfering to the Madrid, Paris and Florida campus every semester.
In Heidelberg, campus life is great, the city is beautiful, lively and there is always something to do.
With regards with the teachers and the courses, it depends. Most of them are really good; the only problem relies on the duration of each course, which is 1 month, and which I consider too short.

it is maybe one of the few universities in Germany that has students from so many different countries. Iliked it as the language of instruction was in English (means had no no problems with the material whatsoever) and had the opportunity to be in a European country that the English is not the local language.

I really loved Schiller - HD campus because of its location and the diversity of the student body. Academics are not the most rigorous so plan to go home and go to a graduate school for a more thorough education. Have fun while you're there, travel, meet people and enjoy Europe!!

Take a camera, forget your life at home, try to mingle with the locals (they always know best), learn the language and make a genuine effort to speak it. Enjoy your stay in Europe as it is something you'll never forget! Remember, Germans are lots of fun once you get to know them!! :-)

For getting the International Exposure with practicle awareness it is best as it is having eight campuses through out the world having international student transfer programme.

In my first two semister that i had completed in Thailand i phase some problem in language but it was limited to social interaction..still i had never meet with any problem as all Thai people mostly answer you if you communícate with them in English.. Apart from this i am Phasing the language problem right now in Germany which is also limited to social interaction as i dont know why German people doesnt reply when you ask them in english?? But still this is also limited to certain people and places in germany.
