Technische Universitaet Hamburg-Harburg (TU-HARBURG)

It was at the beginnning very hard to understand some of the complex situations and filling in the documents at the government offices, becaus at the very beginning I lived in a small village, so they did not talk or understand english at all. But I could do that without any major problem. When I moved to the city most of the people knew basics of English and even more, but by the time I learned more German and I could make conversations with the people at shops and at the government offices when I renewed my student visa. At the university ther is no problem to communicate in English with professors or students. As an introduction to the German culture, the Universities offer a widre range of opportunities to be part of the community.

Okey german for me was very hard, when you compair with Spanish but after I am very happy becuase I have worked a lot and I have realised that I heve improved my german.

It is quite easy communicating on campus but difficult to communicate witht the local people at the beginning

If you don't speak German, you'll have no problem at University using English, but it'll be a bit tougher in everyday life (shops, means of transport, asking for information...)

I was able to speak both German and English during my time at the TUHH
