It is quite a distance from the city centre but the transport system is so good that it really doesn't matter.

Make the most of a year abroad,it is one hell of an experience, more people should get the chance to discover another culture.
It really is down to what you make of the year yourself.

Yes. Barcelona is great, I mean GREAT. But its a lot cooler (I mean, cold!) than what I've expected, in winter.

Thius may sound bad, but I would recommend you to ask your teachers to sign out somewhere saying you've been to their classes and passed the exam. I'm having troubles because a teacher lost my exam and I have no way to prove that I've done it!

I would recommend you not to pay too much attention to the expences. I mean, save where you can save (food, housing, etc), but do not keep yourself from traveling, going out and stuff like that. Don't fall in love (lol) and do not stay at home!!! You'll regret it, that's for sure!

The Universidad Autonoma is academically a good university but it´s location could be better as it is a long way out of the city of Barcelona and can prove to be quite isolated.

Before studying abroad for the first time it is important to be fully aware of what is involved. Calculate living expenses, make sure you have social contacts in case you are ever in need and plan your stay, ie. places you want to visit etc. in order to make the most of your time abroad.

If you're portuguese (from the north), travel to barcelona by Vigo, whether flying or going in train. It's a lot more chip!

“máster bioquímica, biología molecular y biomedicina”
Laura A
Spain, Graduate
Biochemistry, 2018
Overall
