Why?
Because living with people you don't know can sometimes give some problems in cleaning the house for example and noise. I prefer to live on my own or only with two persons.

I had to found housing on my own, but the university does have some information about housing. And for the people who stay one year on the university they have more possibilities.

As mentioned above, the university didn´t get involved in my search, but I heared from my friends that in Spain, if you live on the campus, you normally don´t have a kitchen neither a washing machine but everything will be prepared by the staff.

There is little or no support, so you're on your own. The hunt in Madrid to find somthing can be difficult, so one needs to be persistent.
