Personal comments
Dont rush in to getting accomadation. Spend your time looking for an apartment worth having. The hostals wont break the bank so you can spend a good week searching for a great apartment that doesnt cost an arm and a leg. You will benefit in the long run.

They would not come to the students to talk to us about any opportunity, you would have to go and show lots of interest in getting information. However, there were many possibilities for us students and they were quite helpful when you needed them.

Personal spending habits
I spent less money for housing and food because it's cheaper than in Germany and I used to cook every day instead of eating at the canteen. Nightlife and travel has been more expensive because I wanted to use the opportunity to get to know new people / cultures / countries and the best possibility to do so is while staying abroad.

Final comments
Don't be afraid to go to Granada without having fixed where you will live. it is very easy to find an accomodation!
People will help you if you are lost.
Don't let the gipsy women read your hand, near the cathedral, they'll ask for money afterwards.
