In winter, one of my roommate lifted up the house temperature so high (about 25ºC) for his cats (whereas for human beings he would put it down until 15ºC) that we received an awesome bill to pay : almost 100€ each (we were 5)!!! I was so angry...if we knew it, we wouldn't have not accepted his cats at home.
