We travelled a lot. At www.holidaycar.de you can rent a car quite cheap. Get in contact with spanish people if you have the chance. It's much more interesting than spending all the time with other Erasmus.

I recommend Pamplona for people who are willing to be creative and look for fun. It is amazing but it is not in-your-face.

Realize that Pamplona is not a huge city. It is perfect if you like good food, an interesting mix of cultures, and great regional travel opportunities - the mountains and the sea are close by!

It is a high-quality University; the best University in Europe even, I believe. If you choose your courses the right way you will be able to gain quite some knowledge, though in my opinion it is more theoretical than I am used to. For me, projects are the best way to get the hang of things, but here at UNAV more time is spent on theoretical classes.

First of all make sure you got your documents in order: Passport, visa, ID, insurance, etc (make sure you have copies of them in a save place, just in case). Next thing to do is check if you will be able to have access to your bankaccount from ATM's here in Spain (is no problem at all for EU bankaccounts). Take time to prepare things at home, do not start at the last minute; at least one year ahead of planning! Make sure you have a list with important numbers: whom to contact in case anything happens to you, your Insurance, Home University, Doctor back home, Family & Friends, etc. Make sure you have a backup of this list, in case you loose it! Lastly, try to find out as much information as possible on the Spanish culture, language (summer language course available at UNAV), etc.

Overall
