Most of the people know English and for this reason it was not very important to learn Portuguese.

I wanted to visit courses in english because I had not been taking English-classes for quite a while and felt that my knowledge had somehow vamished. As I had already learned Spanish at University, I reckoned that I could handle Portugues quite well which was actually the case. I was able to fix my English and learn the basics of Portugues.

It was easy to communicate with profrssors and other students as all of them know English.

my portugues improved but not a lot, because I didn't talk enough in portuguese.
