I had no idea that the wheather was going to be that bad, and that there is no central heating in the houses yet.

If you want to go to Portugal (a country i fell in love with!) don't go to coimbra university, but choose Lisbon or Braga, they are supposingly much better. I didn't learn anything at all in Coimbra, and there is not much to do either, it was a waste of time.

i think that if you r not so opend minded is better if u stay home. Portugal is really different from italy, people too and i guess that an international student that goes there must be quite indipendent

I sow that a lot of international students had problems with the language, i think that is better if you do a portuguese cource b4 going there

Portugal is a beautiful country you will very much enjoy. Because Coimbra is so little you won't have dificulties knowing people.Just go and see for yourself it is worth it!

It's a very good school...I personally enjoyed it. The academics are excellent, and there are english native speakers there teaching. the teachers were always available, it was the best! gr8 xperience

Just put in your head that they do not eat like the english..they do actually eat AWESOME FOOD AND A LOT OF IT!! Be sure you bring a souvenir from where u come from...portuguese like that. learn some portuguese before you come..although they have courses there. AND ENJOY!!!!

Final comments
Coimbra is one of the most traditional student cities in Europe dating back to the year 1290, the academical traditions are still today part of the student life, it is a pity we don't have it in Germany
