Personal comments
It had everything you need- kitchen, bathroom, etc. However, it's very different than a dorm in the U.S., but that is part of the experience. I can still smell the hallways, and it will always be in my heart:)

All the courses (Industrial Economy, Macroeconomics, Public Finance..) were in English, I think it´s neccesary to speak English if you study Economics. Learning German was easy because every day I met many austrian students, in fact most of them were really interested in knowing more about my home culture and habits.

Overall
I wish I had known...
In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
It is a fun place to spend a year but the academics are not really a top priority and the library is not the easiest to use.

During my experience abroad, I ...
(1) Never – (4) A lot
Became familiar with another culture
Met people from other countries
Experienced a change in life
Advanced my studies & career
Final comments
Travel as much as possible, meet Austrians and become friends with them. Otherwise it is easy to only speak English and miss a lot.

Coming to Vienna, I had no prior knowledge of German. Now I can pretty much manage throughout the day alone- something I am truly happy about given the difficulty of the language!
