I wish I had known...
I wasnīt interested in knowing anything before going, because i wanted to know how i would react to a first contact in every fields (living on my own, in another country, without speaking the language and having to show proofs of what i learned - by surviving and mostly, by doing good in my university exams).

This university was vwry similar to my own: it needs study, atention and dedication, but in the end itīs a great experience without the faults that could hapen when someone studies in another country, in another university with diferent methods.

To study in another country, itīs not only the university that mathers. Itīs an experience that envolves also the city and country were you are in and most of all, the personality you have. Pisa (were i studied) is not a warm city... you have to conquer it by knowing the most people you can and by adapting yourself to every obstacle that can ocour. But in the ending, you are in Italy were therīs the biget concentration of beautiful and interesting cities i have ever seen and so "close". Donīt forget alsp that Italy is very neer some very interesting countries like France, Chek Republic, Greece...

The University of Pisa, nestled in the heart of Tuscany, Italy, is a vibrant academic institution that offers a unique blend of academic excellence and a rich cultural experience. I had the privilege of being a student at this esteemed university, and my time there left a lasting impression. With a significant population of international students, there is a mix of culture and diversity ,. The quality of education is impressive, and the university offers a wide range of programs, ensuring that students from various disciplines find suitable courses. i enjoy going there everyday.

Overall
Pisa University is historically known for its STEM field courses and  also has a great economics and management department.
I personally attended the bachelors "banca finanza e mercati finanziari"(BFMF) program and then the two year "banca, finanza aziendale e mercati finanziari"(BFAMF) program which is considered the natural continuation of BFMF course. These programs focus on economic and financial theory.A great focus is placed on the financial management and evaluation of firms, risk management, financial models, monetary theory and markets.
The professors of the courses I have attended are generally very competent and available for further more in depth explanations  of the subjects they teach .We have carefully selected compulsory courses (regarding Mathlab use for finance, financial evaluation subjects, financial EU law etc.) and are then able to freely choose subjects that interest us most. The courses offered are great for those who truly enjoy studying finance.

Whilst Pisa itself is relatively small the unversity has something like 40, 000 students which is an ideal combination because the city is small enough to find your way around in but there are enough people to meet of your own age

Pisa is a very good base for visiting the rest of Italy. Trains are cheap - especially if you buy a student discount card - so take advantage of it. On a more practical side, be prepared to wait for hours to join a bank, visit the doctor or speak to a lecturer in the first weeks.
