Good reputation, bad teaching and lecturing
Rio H
Portugal, Graduate
Secretarial Studies, 2020
Overall
I have graduated from the University of Hohenheim this summer. The university has a good reputation, especially amongst the big employers here in the south of Germany (Bosch, Siemens, Daimler, Porsche, BMW, Audi...).
Though I found for myself that this university was not the right fit to me. If you'd like to be independent from your professors, no attendance and able to study by memorizing a lot - you will fit in here. For someone like me though, who enjoys to have interactions with the professors and working in small teams, I found it difficult to adapt myself to this teaching method.

On-campus housing was very affordable. More was spent on travel because I was interested in seeing parts of Germany and other countries I hadn't seen before.

Personal comments
There were no financial surprises. Just beware of your first month anywhere abroad. You will have much higher expenses (start-up costs) before they level out to normal.
